HARDSCAPE - DRIVEWAYS

When viewed from the street, the curb appeal of a house starts at the driveway.  Whether it is a giant welcome mat, or a small boulevard that leads to the home, careful selection of shapes, patterns, colours, accents, and border can express a feeling and a message, loud or soft, about the home and the personality of the owner.

HARDSCAPE - ENTRANCEWAYS

The entranceway is a canvas upon which the creativity and uniqueness of the owner is epitomized.  Directional laying patterns, increased lighting and sweeping staircases draw a person towards and into the entranceway.  Incorporating circles and semicircles at entrances conveys a strong notion of a welcoming embrace.

HARDSCAPE - GARDEN WALLS / PLANTERS

Planters and garden walls are a simple way to create a raised garden area that adds curb appeal to the front yard, or defines outdoor living areas within your back yard.   And with several types of retaining wall products to choose from, it is easy to create a structure that conforms to any geometric constraint.

HARDSCAPE - PATIOS / POOL DECKS

Because your patio is a direct extension of the home, its design is as important as any room inside.

Before you start planning, you should first think about how you will use your patio.  Will it serve mainly as a stage for the pool, with areas for lounging?  Perhaps you entertain frequently, in which case you'll need lots of space for tables and chairs or even patio accessories and amenities (see below).  Maybe you want a small, quiet nook where you can relax in the fresh air.

Whatever purposes your patio will serve, they should determine its final design.

HARDSCAPE - RETAINING WALLS AND BUILT-IN STAIRS

The ease and flexibility of segmental retaining walls make them ideal for constructing irregularly shaped structures that conform to geometric contraints.

By redefining the slope of your yard, you can maximize usable space while adding style and flair.  With multi-tiered walls, areas are available for planting that create a visually stunning landscape and soften the look of the structure.  A built-in stairway not only provides easy access to the separate levels, but can become a visually striking structure of its own.

HARDSCAPE - SPECIAL ACCESSORIES AND AMENITIES

Through the addition of an outdoor bar, built-in barbeque, fire pit, pond, fountain, arbors or screened pavilion, your yard is transformed into a fabulous outdoor environment.

HARDSCAPE - WALKWAYS

Rather than a direct transitional space leading from one area to another, incorporate subtle curves to create a meandering pathway and lead travelers to a solitary retreat.  Circular insets act as rest stops or intimate hospitality areas.
